The Christian Letter, Volume One: Chapter 39
Once upon a time, there was a man who went to his chamber one winter’s night by candlelight. Beside his wife, unaware, there stood an angel, who spoke slowly in ash and smoke, “Your candle is as time, almost gone, so you see. Ah, but behold, for before you I hold a contract from above. I have been granted right to win one of your souls by a simple game of chess. Tonight, I will leave with you, or your slumbering wife, for this chess game decides your fate. You will play her, and she will play you, and the loser shall be mine.” The man blew out his candle, and went to sleep unaffected; for he knew the answer to the age-old question of how to beat the devil at his own game: All you must do, is not play his game.
“Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the Heavenlies.”
(Ephesians 6:12).
Let us put our ideas aside and really look at what Halloween is by examining its practices, traditions, possible good points, and what the Father has to say of its adoption into our belief.
Halloween, also known as Mischief’s Night or Devil’s Night, is not rooted in Scripture, not Yahoweh’s Scripture anyway. Some Satanists, and some groups that practice witchcraft, do observe it as one of their high holy days, a new year’s day. They have three major holydays: Walpurgisnacht, which is the first of May and often called May Day, Halloween, and one’s birthday.
Satanists look like normal people, and most often act no differently than your average Christian. Most worshipers of Satan do not actually believe in the devil, but are merely humanists who live by the satanic principle of seeking worship. Sadly, this reminds me of some Christians who don’t believe in the Messiah’s Words when He asks us to walk as He walks, in the Torah (teachings) of the Heavenly Father. Sadder still, is that most of the Christians I meet are merely humanists as well. We simply must do better than this.
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Master. Walk as children of light—for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth—proving what is well-pleasing to the Master. And have no fellowship with the fruitless works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” (Ephesians 5:8-11).
Satan proclaims to be an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). He cannot do this without acting in a loving manner. My dear brothers and sweet sisters, I bare a great warning! There is a different breed of sin, or a strain if you will; it’s called: White.
Let us look at two white sins. First, the white lie. It is something you say to cause no harm, such as, “I love what you did with your hair.” when you really don’t. You are not required to lie to cover this fact up, as you could simply comment on the woman’s dress, or ask what she has been doing as of late. Satan wants you to think that by using a white lie you will cover up a matter of unimportance with sin, or no … I mean he wants you to think you’ll cover up a horrible thing with something that is “white.”
Now if the woman asks what you think of her hair, do you need to lie? Satan will tell you that you need to lie or otherwise you would be rude! He tries to make people see his white walled tomb as light, but inside is only darkness. “You have a choice.” Satan tells you, “You can either lie or be rude. What’s it going to be?”
Well, Satan never really gives many options, does he? There is another option. You could be polite and honest: “I’m so used to you with your hair long. Do you like it shorter? It’s probably so much easier to take care of it, and cooler in this heat.” You might be surprised to find that the reason why she cut it was the weight was causing her headaches, and, that after time, you may find her haircut much cuter than you first thought. Or perhaps she gave it as a wig to someone who had cancer and had lost her hair because of it. You do not have to lie. You don’t have to use white.
Second, there comes a more serious white sin from Satan: white witchcraft. I cannot count the number of times preachers and elders have called me a fool and condemned me for my faith, when I sought to point out, in a non-condemning manner, but one sin, be it pornography or taking better care of the Holy Spirit’s Temple. It is identical to ministering to a white witch; for they believe what they do is good, and to man, it may seem that way. In white witchcraft, there are spells for making people love you. There are also spells for protection from present (not eternal) harm in white craft. I tell you, though, we need to tell them (after much listening and caring) that we want better for them, and hope they do, too. Yes, they could put a spell on someone and possibly have a partner, but would they if they knew the Truth about real Love? If they were loving, someone that could be loved, and prayed that in Yahoweh’s time they would find a forever kind of love, then they would have what no spell can produce. With this you would have a person who truly loves you (and the Almighty) rather than a puppet who cannot truly, and freely … feel. As for future harm: No amount of magic can save your soul, but only the true acceptance of Yahoshuah. The blood He spilled for you is far more powerful than any craft, for He can forgive. White craft has a little to offer in the eyes of the world, but not as much as Yahoweh has. (Save why you are seeking Him is nothing more than mere fire insurance.)
Yet is white truly white? You will not be fooled if you know that Satan can only lie. When he says, “White.” then what he really said is, “Commonly accepted sin.” White witchcraft is an introduction to Satanism. White lies take away the truth by not giving the truth as an option. This is darkness.
There are thousands of hidden covens and satanic groups throughout America. Those who are truly followers of witchcraft and Satanism, sacrifice various animals and even children, rape and commit other sexual deviations, recruit children through promises and fear, and do things that would never be found in witch films designed for children. I have heard parents say that if a witch tried to recruit their child, then he or she would tell them. This is seldom the case. If a five-year-old boy is forced to witness a real execution, and told that if he does not follow Satan, or if he tells anyone, mommy will be next, it is unlikely you will find out.
Many Christians do see Halloween as a pagan, Celtic, or a satanic holiday. Alas, many more will say, “As long as I don’t celebrate the same way they do, then I’m fine. If my children dress as demons, or if I give into those who do, then we are indeed celebrating Halloween wrongly. I, however, will celebrate Halloween justly. I’ll hand out tracts. After all, more tracts are handed out on Halloween than any other time of year, and it sure is easy to do. Or maybe I’ll go to the church’s celebration tonight. I’ll just use Halloween for good purposes.” What, though, are we witnessing?
What only seems like so long ago, when I had not grown as far in my walk with my Rabbi, and was not yet aware of many of the things I am today, I attended a Christian Halloween party at a multi-church youth group. I wanted to help. I wanted a safe place for kids. I wanted to be like my Saviour and be … a friend.
I met a young girl whose name was not, but shall be called, “Dearest.” Now I’m not sure why Dearest latched on to me so, but she seemed to want to talk and play. I, having no problem with these two activities, agreed to them wholeheartedly.
We played game after game as she talked about school. Then, when Dearest sat down to eat with me, a little ways away from everyone else, she told me about her family. Both mommies, both daddies, all her grandparents, and all her half and quarter brothers and sisters, some of whom had died. To say it like it is: I fell into pieces. Inwardly … I wept rivers. She then told me about the kids who made fun of her at school, and the churches that would not allow her attendance. I asked why, and, after an hour of caring, and my promising not to laugh, she bashfully said, “… I’m a witch.”
No, this wasn’t make-believe, nor was she a fan of a book or movie. She knew things regarding witchcraft that I wish I knew not of, due to their horrors. Then she said she also believed in “God.” I said, “No one can serve two masters.” She knew that the Bible said she could not be a witch and love the Creator at the same time (Power from creation? Or Creator?), but she sees it differently, since she is a white witch, and does good with her magic. O dear brothers and sweet sisters, it was then Dearest added something that opened my eyes wide and left me speechless. Something that forever changed me. … She said, “Why can’t I be a witch and a Christian at the same time? After all … the church celebrates my festivals!”
“O Yahoweh! What have I done! … How could I not have seen even this? … Even this. I wanted to help her, but all I did was show her that it was okay to be a witch and a Christian. … Just how many other ways have I been blinded by darkness? O Elohim—I don’t need white paint, because in a dark room it does no good. I need Your Light! Please forgive me of sins I didn’t even know I was committing, and guide me with Your Spirit to move mountains, seemingly immovable parts of the world, and throw them into the sea … so that I might see. Please, O Friend, be with our friend Dearest. Wherever she is, I pray she is on Your lap, and in Your heart. … Amen.”
… I was shocked. She had me. So what did I do? I prayed fast—real fast—and I felt in my heart a very basic truth: I could judge her, or I could condemn her. Those who have pushed her away condemned her. They either laughed at her or told her that she would go to hell because she was a sinner! But that was not my place. We cannot condemn children. I could have said, “Witches are evil!” but I chose to show her Yahoweh is better because He is Perfect. I could have condemned Dearest saying, “You’re too young to understand.” but I spoke in a simpler way, as she was very young … so very young. I could have condemned Dearest for her saying, “God lies.” but I judged what she said and waited for the Spirit, Who said through me, “The Creator will answer your prayer because He is not a liar, but are you sure that what you said was a prayer? It sounded more like a wish … or a command.” I judged and helped in a simple love, rather than condemning her, and gained her respect and friendship. My dear Dearest and I talked for hours. But as for her comment earlier, “The church celebrates my festivals!” … I was unable. I was unable to answer. Years later … I still am.
There is no counter to Truth.
Satan can only lie, and that is exactly what he did to this little girl … but he did it through the church.
The same church that refused to keep the festivals of Yahoweh Elohim, of which the Messiah kept. Ought we not, as well? Ought we not become so different that we are a home for the Light in this dark world?
Please pray His will to be done in Dearest’s life.
“Look at Yisra’el after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the offerings sharers in the altar? What then do I say? That an idol is of any value? Or that which is offered to idols is of any value? No, but what the gentiles offer they offer to demons and not to Elohim, and I do not wish you to become sharers with demons. You are not able to drink the cup of the Master and the cup of demons, you are not able to partake of the table of the Master and of the table of demons. Do we provoke the Master to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?” (1 Corinthians 10:18-22). We are not able to accept to sit at both Yahoweh’s table and the table of demons.
“And the works of the flesh are well-known, which are these: adultery, whoring, uncleanness, indecency, idolatry, drug sorcery, hatred, quarrels, jealousies, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, murders, drunkenness, wild parties, and the like—of which I forewarn you, even as I also said before, that those who practise such as these shall not inherit the reign of Elohim.” (Galatians 5:19-21).
Trick-or-treat comes from the original idea that you must be kind to dead ancestors and demons or they will play a trick on you. Halloween night is often marked by vandalism, such as soaping windows, egging houses, or stringing toilet paper through trees. A shadow picture of when, if the offering was not good enough, more wicked tricks would be played, such as castration, fires, destruction of property, curses, death of pets, and even being burned alive. Make no mistake, even today there are fires, rape, and seeds of hatred that last for years. Trick or treat?
We must make choices. Fake candies or real fruit? Coco from slaves, or fair trade chocolate? Little tracks, or full Bibles? Dress up, or be? Door to door demanding candy, or bringing food to the needy? Being known as a part of the world, or being known as a lover of the Word? I once had no idea, none whatsoever, that my choices affected little kids I had never known. Indeed, none of us life unto themselves, nor die unto themselves, alone.
Once I was shown the occult / satanic foundation of Halloween, I had a choice to make: Whom I will serve … and whom I will not. I had to ask myself: “Will I try to Christianize everything I find that is evil? Will I join those who say this day is to the saints?” True saints, like Moses, Isaiah, and Elijah, know there is One Who is worthy of worship. “Remember those leading you, who spoke the Word of Elohim to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their belief.” (Hebrews 13:7). Saints would not want a day honoring them, nor would their faith allow them to attempt to make Halloween Biblical. What leaders do we have who would observe even a shadow of Halloween? Whom have we chosen? Ah, as all passages do, the words go on, “Yahoshuah Messiah is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. Do not be borne about by various and strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be established by favour, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.” (Hebrews 13:8-9).
Side Note: In 601 A.D., pope Gregory the First issued a decree concerning foreign beliefs and customs, stating that the missionaries were to adopt them and teach the pagans to “consecrate it to Christ.” Allowing, even encouraging, the adoption of pagan beliefs was not a new idea. The Druids did this themselves already, and simply added Christianity to their amassed religious beliefs. Who, then, converted whom?
Side Note: In 834 A.D., pope Boniface the Fourth issued a decree concerning the celebration of All Saints Day from “May” to the first of “November,” which was formally known as “all gods day.”The day before this pagan celebration became known as All Hallows’ Evening, or Halloween for short. Boniface failed in his attempts, though, to replace a festival of death with the idea of a day celebrating Saints who would reject the decree issued. Halloween is no more Christian today, than it ever has been.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim.” (Romans 12:2).
Halloween, which begain over five thousand years ago, has been embraced by the Druids, Celtics, Romans, Irish, and later the Catholic Church as well, but, with or without the masks, Satan doesn’t even try to hide Halloween’s true origins. After all, what is the primary focus of Halloween, even in our day: demons, witches, ghosts, goblins, vampires, sorcerers, devils, mutilation, horror, and death. Sound like Biblical feasts that focus on redemption, salvation, harvest, and fellowship with Yahoweh Elohim? Not at all. It is saddening how many embrace something as un-Biblical as Halloween, which is a celebration to many people’s father, Satan, yet they forfeit the Sabbath, Passover, and the great festivals of our Heavenly Father.
Many have beleived that on Halloween Satan sends out his demonic spirits to attack people. It was held as a pagan tradtion that the only way you could escape their torment was to wear disguises to look like the evil spirits themselves. The costumes were often made from parts of sacrifices, such as animal heads and skins, to that as humans as well. These sacrifices were done to appease elves, leapercauns, fairys, and other made up creatures, but the same trickster was behind each mask. While there is only One Name by which man can be saved, we still find Christians rehearsing these practices today.
In ages past, Halloween was filled with horrors we try to pretend never happened, but what about modern Halloween? Satan is a trickster who loves to play dress up. What would Satan dress up as? An angel of light. And that is exactly what he has tried to do with Halloween. Dressing up as a Bible character is just as evil. (Satan, after all, is a Bible character.) I assure you, the Messiah did not go trick or treating as a boy dressed up as John the Baptist. Whom are we mimicking?
“and said, ‘O son of the devil, filled with all deceit and all recklessness, you enemy of all righteousness, shall you not cease perverting the straight ways of Yahoweh?’” (Acts 13:10).
Satan is a trickster. He loves fooling people into thinking they are following the Messiah, when in all actuality they are only believers of the Messiah. Satan, after all, is a true believer. The difference is he simply would never walk as the Messiah walks, in the Torah of Yahoweh. Believers, like Satan, keep the commonly accepted holidays, but will not keep the Biblical Passover. Only followers would do such a thing.
I have had to ask myself many difficult questions. It took me time, prayer, and a lot of reading—and accepting—the Scriptures. I would love to give candy to kids, and I am a huge fan of Cosplay, or dressing up as various characters, but I know there are other means of doing this without the pagan foundation. Yet, even today, I think how nice it would be to just play along with the world for a while—to be a part of such a community event. That is another reason I like the Olympics; the whole world cheers for every competitor, and at the same time. There are many events that we can enjoy in this world, but if all we focus on is one them, then we do the devil’s job for him, and trick ourselves into believing that Halloween is fun for kids and adults.
Many claim that, “Halloween’s for the kids, and it’s a lot of fun.” But is it really? Many different nation’s community service organizations warn that children and animals are more likely to be abducted on Halloween, or near Halloween, then any other time. That other family may not be thinking about Satan, even though they may blame “God” for their loss; however, behind the kidnapping, there is a devil called Satan. And this is his festival.
Some of you are probably wondering about whether or not I think we should kill witches as the Torah commands. Yes, you should kill a witch, but before you fly off on your broom and do so, we need to consider what a witch is. Modern day people view a witch as a white witch, or perhaps an old lady with a wart on her nose who flies around on a broom, or perhaps a characters from a children’s storybook; however, in the days the Torah was given, those considered witches were anything but cute. They sacrificed children and unborn children, as some groups still do to this day. They had no notion of “white,” but rather attempted to summon demons and spread demonic influence. Therefore, if you go over to your neighbors, and their door is open allowing you to peer inside, and there, to your horror, you see them cutting up small children, or you hear the screams of a child being burned alive, then those murderers need to be killed to save others. It’s not pretty, but I’m not sure I’d buy into a faith that was all cute and cuddly.
Note: Considering witches are people who murder children and that many doctors perform abortions, it brings a whole new meaning to the term: witch doctor.
“Do not allow a practiser of witchcraft to live.” (Exodus 22:18). Yet, would you practice their feast, dress as one, and do exactly as they do? While it is not our place to stone people who call themselves witches who think they get energy from rocks, there is another way to not suffer a witch to live, and that is minister to them. And I for one learned that to minister to a witch, you cannot rehearse their festival.
“And many who had believed came confessing and declaring their deeds. And many of those who had practised magic brought their books together, burning them before all. And they reckoned up the value of them, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the Word of the Master was growing mightily and prevailing. (Acts 19:18-20). What made His Word grow in the people? Acceptance of the wickedness, or loving the Saviour too much to leave room for Satan? Several billion each year is spent on Halloween. I say, let’s burn it, and count it as gain. Is your faith worth this? If it’s not then what, pray tell, is your faith worth?
“And when they say to you, ‘Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,’ should not a people seek their Elohim? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?” (Isaiah 8:19).
“Keep back from every form of wickedness.” (1 Thessalonians 5:22). Paul also warned against lawlessness, the perversion of the Torah, in 2 Thessalonians 2. Let us not take that warning lightly.
“Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves servants for obedience, you are servant of the one whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?” (Romans 6:16).
Satan, older than the stars and moon, an outwardly beautiful angel, considers his worshiping adherents as worthless. Satan’s real pleasure lays in tricking others into thinking they aren’t worshiping him, when in reality, they are. Know your enemy, Christian, and know you cannot beat him by acting like him. “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also does seek such to worship Him. Elohim is Spirit, and those who worship Him need to worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24).
How many groups of kids dabble in the occult on Halloween? I attended a Christian school, and about 90% of the children there did; so, what of those who have no Biblical instruction? Whether it is an ouija board, the new horror movie, the haunted house, getting a fortune read, or saying magic spells into as mirror, any way you look at it: Halloween is evil. It is not of Yahoweh.
In North America, unmarried women were frequently told that if they sat in a darkened room, and gazed into a mirror on Halloween night, the face of their future husband would appear in the mirror. However, if they were destined to die before they married, a skull would appear. This custom was commemorated on greeting cards from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Indeed, it still appears on heavy metal album covers and Halloween books.
There are other traditions that are still commonplace today, simply not commonly understood. Parents tied yellow ribbons around oak trees as prayers to the sun to have their children spared. The Druids choose certain children, prisoners, and animals, to be burned alive in “bone-fires” (bonfires) as offerings to the sun or other concocted idols. This custom originated with Babylon and its god, Nimrod. The priests would make carvings over the womb or near the heart of the sacrifice with the Druidic/Babylon ‘TAU’ (the letter t or cross) an ancient symbol for Tammuz. Today many wear it in the form of a cross on a chain, which hangs near the heart. The fat left over from the sacrificed child was fashioned into a candle, and placed into a carved-out turnip (in the states pumpkins are more readily available), or a hollowed out vegetable with a round sun-shaped design. The victim was called Jock / Jack-of-the-lantern. The symbol of a “dammed soul,” but I’d rather be “Jack” than the one carrying the idol and teaching its rehearsal.
Halloween was banned in America until 1845. Its entry occurred simultaneously with a surge of witchcraft and Satanism in America. Most of these practices came over to Americawith the Irish fleeing thepotato famine of the mid 19th century, bringing with them Catholicism and their cultural background of Druidism. The puritans did not celebrate such things. In fact, they were persecuted in the old world for their shunning of these pagan customs.
Believers should avoid practicing Halloween, but not in a way that we appear evil ourselves. Calmly, and humbly, say that you believe in Yahoweh’s Word and care not to partake. For those of you who live by the Scriptures and desire friends and family to do the same, but they insist that Halloween is adoptable, just remember that people resist the Truth at first, but if we help them wrestle with it patiently,it is marvelous to seethem awaken.Their struggle is really with the programming from their youth, and it’s not always our failure, or their rebellion, that holds them back.
However, if you feel I am wrong, then try to defend Halloween using Scripture. If there are Scriptures that condone the adoption of formerly demonic rituals, as long as they are unto HaShem, and that true redemption comes through doing so, then I will bow to the rule of majority. Do you still want to celebrate Halloween? Spend more time in the Word. Do not hurt His heart by choosing carelessly. Christians! You must discern good from evil to make decisions that glorify His Word. This is prayer, love, and celebrating Yahoweh His way.
We are doubly deceived if we encounter the Truth, and reject it, because, in His anger, Yahoweh sends strong delusion that we might believe the lie. In regards to those who do not keep the Law, “and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, in order for them to be saved. And for this reason Elohim sends them a working of delusion, for them to believe the falsehood, in order that all should be judged who did not believe the truth, but have delighted in the unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12).
“And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve Yahoweh, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve, whether the mighty ones which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the mighty ones of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But I and my house, we serve Yahoweh.” (Joshua 24:15). Sadly, I have seen a small portion of this passage, with His Name removed, hung on so many walls, which also give room to what is not of Yahoweh. Who shall we serve? … How much? Oh, hear His Word, for we cannot serve two masters, but we will think we can, if we do not know our Master!
With great sorrow and regret I report it, that many elders do not know the Word, and it is for this reason that so many young people also do not know. The Scriptures state: “Bring the first of the first-fruits of your land into the House of Yahoweh your Elohim. Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.” (Exodus 23:19). When the Bible says do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk three times (also found in Exodus 34:26, and Deuteronomy 14:21) there is no hidden message meaning you cannot have milk and meat at the same time like the Pharisees believe. What, then, does this mean? An ancient fertility sacrifice of the Canaanites was to boil a young goat in his mother’s milk. The Jew’s dealt with the Canaanites; therefore, even the little ones would have known to not follow the pagans, for the whole Torah was read in front of the people every seven years (Deuteronomy 31:10-13) and spoken at Sabbath every week (Acts 15:21), and talked about when people got up, worked, and went to sleep (Deuteronomy 11:18-20). It is not a “dietary” law. It is a, “do not degrade My Name by assimilating yourself with heathens,” Law. And the seven year old knew it. The little ones knew it.
When we sin, we separate ourselves from the Father; however, we can ask for forgiveness. We can turn to the path of Elohim. But let this be the largest, “However,” I ever state: However, when we cause the little ones to go astray, we cannot ask for forgiveness for their sins. We cannot turn around for them.
“And they cried out to Yahoweh, and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken Yahoweh and served the Ba’als and the Ashtaroth. And now, deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we serve You.’” (1 Samuel 12:10). Read this with me, as you would say it, if truly distressed at your past action: “I cry out to You, O Yahoweh! I have sinned—I have forsaken You! Like a fool, I tried to serve two masters—mighty ones I did not know! O Yahoweh—please, please deliver me from the hands of our enemies—for I long to serve You! Yahoweh! … For more than just my sake, but also for Your children, I plead: May it be.”
“And Aharon saw and built an altar before it. And Aharon called out and said, “Tomorrow is a festival to Yahoweh.”” (Exodus 32:5). (Please read 1-8). The Israelites, like us today, fashioned an idol, a golden calf, and said, “Tomorrow is a festival to Yahoweh.” Will we go back to those weak and beggarly things we once knew and try to make them unto Him? Yahoweh wanted to incinerate them all. I once heard a minister, after reading this, speak to the assembly with great sarcasm, saying, “Oh, but I’m sure it doesn’t mean that to you, so it’s okay. As long as Halloween means something different to you than it does to Yahoweh you’ll be fine. The Almighty bows down to anything the church does, even if it’s against His Word, cause He will just change it.” While his words may have been somewhat brazen … what does our heart sound like concerning these matters?
“When Yahoweh your Elohim does cut off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, guard yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire about their mighty ones, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their mighty ones? And let me do so too.’ Do not do so to Yahoweh your Elohim, for every abomination which Yahoweh hates they have done to their mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones. All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it—do not add to it nor take away from it.” (Deuteronomy 12:29-32). You must not worship Yahoweh your Deliver in their way! Indeed—you cannot!
“And he made his sons pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and practised magic, and used divination and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of Yahoweh, to provoke Him.” (2 Chronicles 33:6). We ourselves may not burn children, but we once unknowingly rehearsed this very act every year in honor of its memory. Will we now do it knowingly? Or will we repent and seek His Will, instead? We have a choice, and today we must make that choice. Are we to imitate Satan and his practices, or Yahoshuah the Messiah? Demons … or a Jew?
“And now, fear Yahoweh, serve Him in perfection and in truth, and put away the mighty ones which your fathers served beyond the River and in Mitsrayim, and serve Yahoweh!” (Joshua 24:14).
Be Blessed and be a Blessing
